Vatican condemns terrorist attack in Nice, France that has killed at least 84 people

The Vatican stands in solidarity with France once again. On Thursday night, a suspected terrorist attack occurred in Nice, during the country's annual Bastille day celebrations.

At least 84 people were killed as a large truck loaded with an arsenal of ammunition opened fire on a crowd of people for more than a mile. 

The Vatican Spokesman, Fr. Federico Lombardi has spoken out against the tragedy, "We condemn in an absolute manner every manifestation of homicidal folly, hatred, terrorism, and attacks against peace.”

"We want to make known, on the part of Pope Francis and ourselves, our sharing and solidarity in the suffering of the victims and all the French people, in what was supposed to be a great day of celebration,” –Father Lombardi continued.
