Pope sends condolences to Manchester after attack

After the deadly terrorist attack at Victoria Station in Manchester, England, the pope has sent his condolences to the victims and their families. ;

In a letter written by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, it states that the Holy Father was ¨saddened to learn of the injury and tragic loss of life caused by the barbaric attack in Manchester, and he expresses his heartfelt solidarity with all those affected by this senseless act of violence.¨

In addition to commending the emergency personnel and security guards who helped the victims, the pope remembered the 22 people who lost their lives as well as the 59 who have been counted as injured. ;
