Pope welcomes Peruvian president Alan Garcia

During his visit to the Vatican he explained to Benedict XVI the measures that the Peruvian government is proposing to eradicate poverty and promote collaboration with the Church.The president of Peru gave the pope a shawl made from vicuña wool and told him it could come in handy when it’s cold in Rome.
