Ancient fresco of the Madonna and Child discovered in Rome

Saints Peter and Paul and two of the fresco?s main donors and promoters, the priests Theodore and George, are also depicted in the fresco. ; The priests were instrumental during the Council of Constantinople in 680. ; Thanks to these two men and the role they played in the development of the council, it has been determined that the fresco was painted between the seventh and eighth centuries.
