Pope calls on husbands to show the beauty of Christian marriage

Using the example of this saint, the Pope had some select words for mothers and Christian couples.

The pope recalled that Bridget was proclaimed a saint in 1391, 18 years after her death. And later declared a co-patroness of Europe by Pope John Paul II, nearly 700 years after.

Among the pilgrims were the Bridgetine Sisters, who are celebrating their General Chapter.
