Card. Javier Lozano BarragánPrefect Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for HealthApril 21, 2005 "There was nothing more that could be done for the child. Now, he is a young man. He was presented to the pope, who was very happy."Cardinal Lozano Barragán witnessed the miracle during the pope?s visit to his diocese of Zacatecas, Mexico. Card. Javier Lozano BarragánPrefect Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for HealthApril 21, 2005 “He looked like a skeleton, of only five years or so. His skin was hanging off the bone and his cheek was decaying. I was there and I had brought the mother. The pope got off the plane at the airport in Zacatecas. He saw the mother and took the child, which weighed nothing, it was only skin and bones, he kissed the baby and gave it back to the mother. That child was cured after the kiss from the pope.”In a beatification, only miracles that have taken place after death are considered. Because of the rule, this alleged miracle has not been taken into account for the beatification of John Paul II.BS/AE--BN
