Pope condemns violence and Oslo killings

Benedict XVI“Again, unfortunately, we hear news of death and violence. We all feel a deep sorrow for the grave terrorist attack last Friday in Norway. We pray for the victims, the wounded and their loved ones.” Benedict XVI also spoke about the importance of doing good and avoiding evil in our own conscience. He said this would lead to a society of justice and peace. The pope asked that everyone make this internal reflection and to abandon the way of hatred. Benedict XVI“To everyone I want to repeat again the heartfelt plea to forever abandon the path of hatred and escape from the logic of evil.”When speaking on building peaceful societies, the pope also noted that those holding political office have more responsibilities and thus need God?s help even more.
