Benedict XVI meets with members of the Circle of St. Peter

The pope highlighted the work that the Circle of St. Peter does in developing countries, and aiding ; adoptions, as well as giving food to people in need. He then took the opportunity to remember the importance of charity, especially during Lent. Benedict XVI “This liturgical season invites us to reflect on the heart of the Christian life: the charity.” The Circle of St. Peter was founded in Rome in 1869 by a group of young people, led by Cardinal Iacobini.
