Cardinal Antonelli leaves the Pontifical Council for the Family

The 75-year-old Antonelli has served as president of the Vatican department since 2008. Recently, he was the one in charge of organizing the World Day of Families in Milan. His retirement means that the Italian Bishop Vincenzo Paglia will fill his position. Paglia has been one of the main figures for the Community of Sant'Egidio.
