Pope expresses solidarity with those effected by the earthquake and rain storms in Asia

So far, millions have been effected by the weekend of natural disasters. In Iran, 300 people were killed by the earthquake. While 100 died in China and 20 in the Philippines from the heavy rainfall. The Pope then asked for prayers for the victims. Benedict XVI“I invite you to join me in prayer for those who have lost their lives and for all the people tried by such devastating calamities. May our solidarity and our support not be lacking.”Benedict XVI also reflected on a Gospel reading, presenting Jesus as the source of eternal life.Benedict XVI“Jesus says He is the true bread from heaven, that it makes one live forever, not only for a moment or part of the way.
