Focolare Movement Forum: Ideas to overcome the economic crisis

MARIA VOCE President, Focolare Movement "I think the answer to the crisis is communion.  I do not mean communion in the sense of an economic model, which we've also studied in LoppianoLab, but more of an  agreement on different levels. Here we're faced with new and unexpected answers, intelligent synergy methods and ideas that perhaps were unknown.â? Those attending the meeting said that the current economic crisis is not only economic, but also anthropological and cultural. Throughout the meeting, organizers echoed the  message of their 'Economy of Communion' project, which now includes more than 700 companies from all over the world. EVA GULLO EXPO Economy of Communion "The issues are seen from an economy of communion point of view, which place the human person in the center.  This year we've studied youth employment and the role of women, specifically how their role in the work force has been complimentary to men.â? Among some of the ideas included in this project is that businesses be open to hiring people in marginalized communities, which also includes training them beforehand, so that eventually they can be a positive asset to both the company and to society.
