Benedict XVI reflects on role of Jesus throughout history

BENEDICT XVI "Always, even amidst the most arduous difficulties to be faced, we must have faith in God, renewing our faith in His presence and in His action in our story as in that of Mary.â? In his speech, the Pope asked who truly is Jesus, and cited the Gospel to find the a solution. BENEDICT XVI "The angel Gabriel announces: 'The Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God'.â? The pope also used that time to issue his New Year greeting, and explained that every Christmas, the strength of God's presence in history is celebrated. After the audience, he once again sent out tweets on his eight accounts. The English one states: "When we entrust ourselves to the Lord completely, everything changes. We are children of a Father who loves us, and never leaves us.â? VIC/RCarr CTV JM -  BN
