The best photos of the Conclave and the first days of Pope Francis

FR. GIUSEPPE COSTA Director, Libreria Editrice Vaticana "Grzegorz GaÅ?Ä?zka presents photographs of  the first days of Francis as Pope, but also of the last hours of Benedict XVI's pontificate. The book also has pictures of John Paul II, so it is strongly linked to the history of these recent years.â? The book is entitled 'Portiamo a tutti la gioia della fede', which translates to 'Let us bring the joy of faith to all'. With more than 100 images, it shows the historic chapter in the life of the Church. FR. GIUSEPPE COSTA Director, Libreria Editrice Vaticana "In recent years, photography has acquired an enormous value. The images of John Paul II's coffin in front of St Peter's come to mind, with the wind 'turning' the pages of the Gospel, or the leaves flying in the air. Or the pictures of all the cardinals passing through St. Peter's square. Photography truly is an excellent way of communicating.â? The book, which is on sale for about 20 dollars, contains brief text in Italian. But the Vatican's publishing house is working on having it translated into different languages. BB -MG - -PR u:
