Pope Francis has arrived in Brazil!

After a 12 hour flight, Pope Francis has officially landed in Rio de Janeiro. Upon his arrival, the Pope was greeted by a cheering and singing crowd, in true Brazilian style. The welcoming ceremony also included full military honors. ;

Two children welcomed the Pope with a bouquet of flowers. Afterward, he was greeted by a delegation that included Brazilian President Dilma Roussef, the Archbishop of Rio, Orani João Tempesta, Papal nuncio Giovanni D'Aniello and the Archbishop of Aparecida, Cardinal Raymundo Damasceno Assis.
