Pope to priests and lay people at Assisi: Listen, walk together and preach to the outskirts

During his visit to Assisi, Pope Francis reflected on the most significant aspects of diocesan life. He asked married couples for greater dialogue. To catechists, he said, "It's not enough to read the Holy Scriptures,â? but to "listen to Jesus, who speaks through them.â?

To priests, he asked them to preach well and to walk with their congregations. He also asked them to not be afraid to go out to the outskirts. Lastly, the Pope also asked bishops to look over the "harmony in the diversity of their people.
