Latin American bishops launch a website to help refugees and immigrants

A new website is helping refugees and immigrants seek help online. The Latin American Episcopal Conference has launched a website with useful information for people who have left their native land and also for the ones who provide shelter for them. ;

www.migranteshoy.org provides useful information for inmigrants in Latin American countries, the United States and Canada. This way, an immigrant from Colombia can ask for legal information in Denver or someone who just arrived in Mexico and doesn't know where to go, can find the nearest shelter house online.

Archbishop Pedro Barreto, from the Latin American Episcopal Conference, explained that the creation of the website was an answer to Pope Francis' appeals to help refugees in concrete ways.

With this website, all shelters in Latin America have a place to join forces and offer better solutions to people who need their assistance.
