Pope gets ready for his second meeting with this G8 Council of Cardinals

Starting on Tuesday December 3rd, Pope Francis will meet with the Council of Cardinals, for the second time. The Pope and his advisory group, are addressing ways to reform the Roman Curia and the governance of the Church.

It seems their second official meeting will deal with the management and efficiency of Vatican Congregations.

CARD. GEORGE PELL

Archbishop of Sydney ( Australia )

October 16th

"Well I'll be preparing documents to be distributed and discussed by the hierarchies throughout the world.

CARD. OSWALD GRACIAS

Archbishop of Bombay (India )

September 27th

"I do feel that Catholics should expect lots of changes, in the sense of direction. But I don't think we could say that after the meeting there will be dramatic changes. No I don't expect that.

During their first meeting back in October, the group talked about the family, the Synod of Bishops and the role of the Secretariat of State. The third meeting, scheduled on February 17th and 18th, will be held before the consistory, where Pope Francis names new cardinals.

The meetings will conclude on December 5th. The sessions will take place in the mornings and afternoons. But perhaps the Pope won't attend the Wednesday morning session, because of the general audience.
