Pope attends first Advent Sermon: Christmas, St. Francis and reform of the Church

(-VIDEO ONLY-) Pope Francis attended the first Advent Sermon on Friday morning, at the Redemptoris Mater Chapel. Franciscan friar, and Apostolic Preacher, Raniero Cantalamessa reflected on the contributions the life and message of St. Francis can bring to the Church, especially during Christmas.

The title of his Sermon was "Toward the Lord's Nativity in the Company of St. Francis of Assisi.

Cantalamessa said that reform of the Church must be done by way of holiness. He also highlighted the importance of humility, in the way that St. Francis of Assisi lived since his conversion, devoting himself completely to serving Jesus.
