Consistory has surprise guest: Benedict XVI!

As Pope Francis got ready to create 19 new cardinals in his first consistory, he walked over to Benedict XVI and hugged him.

Wearing a white coat,  Benedict XVI sat next to cardinals, in the Basilica's front row.

A round of applause erupted in St. Peterâ??s Basilica, when Benedict XVI walked in just moments before Saturday's consistory began.
