Pope congratulates dads on their Feast Day: Let your kids grow, but always stay close...

To celebrate Father's Day, which is also the Feast Day of St. Joseph, the Pope started off his general audience by congratulating all dads out in the Square, and really throughout the world.         POPE FRANCIS "Let's see. Are there any dads out here in the square? Raise your hand. That's quite a lot...Congratulations! Congratulations on your day.â?         The Pope explained that St. Joseph was key in the life of Jesus, providing wisdom and grace throughout the years. He then described him as a model for dads and educators.         As the Pope prayed for all fathers on their feast day, he also highlighted that they have a responsibility to be there for their kids.       POPE FRANCIS "I pray so that you can stay close to your children. Let them grow, but stay close...Real close ok?â? The Pope then asked all the pilgrims who were out in the Square, to join him in prayer, by saying an Our Father, in honor of dads, including those who have passed away.     POPE FRANCIS "Some of us have lost our fathers. They passed away when the Lord called them. There are so many out here in the square without a dad. Let's pray for all dads throughout the world, for those who are living and those who have passed. Also for our own dad.â?         The Pope then reminded everyone that dads also have a responsibility of passing on the faith to their children.         PM/KLH CTV VM -BN up: KLH # Pope
