Meet the Pope's new personal secretary, Yoannis Lahzi Gaid

Pope Francis has a new personal secretary, Coptic Catholic priest Yoannis Lahzi Gaid who now works at the Vatican's Secretariat of State. From now on, Argentinian priest Fabian Pedacchio will be the Pope's first personal Secretary, a position occupied up until now by Monsignor Alfred Xuereb. Yoannis Lhazi Gaid is already known worldwide for transtating the Pope's catechesis into Arabic during his weekly General Audiences. It's the first time that a priest who doesn't belong to the Latin rite is appointed to the Pope's personal Secretariat. In this case, Father Gaid belongs to the Coptic Catholic rite. ;AFP/PM CTV JM -BN Up: PM
