Pope leads Thanksgiving Mass in honor of St. Jose of Anchieta

(-ONLY VIDEO-) Pope Francis celebrated Thanksgiving Mass for St. Jose de Anchieta, the so called 'Apostle of Brazil,' in Rome's St. Ignatius of Loyola parish. Born in Spain, he was sent on assignment to Latin America at the age of 19 by St. Ignatius of Loyola. In Brazil, he founded the city of Rio and Sao Paolo. He was made a saint by Pope Francis on April 3rd through a so called 'equivalent canonization.' In his homily the Pope reiterated the universal call to sainthood. He also added that the best way to transmit the faith to others is through joy. AC/KLH ; CTV JM -BN Up: KLH ;
