During Sunday's Angelus, Pope Francis prayed for the passengers of the missing Air Asia plane that was in route between Indonesia and Singapore. He also prayed for passengers of the Italian ferry, who have yet to be rescued off the Greek island of Corfu.

POPE FRANCIS
'I am close with my affection and prayer with the families and loved ones who are undergoing these difficult situations with apprehension and suffering, including those involved in the rescue operation.â?

Since Sunday marked the Feast Day of the Holy Family, the Pope also reflected on the wisdom of the elderly. The Pope had this to say to all grandparents.

POPE FRANCIS
'...Remembering these two elders, Simon and Anna, let's give a round of applause, to all grandparents throughout the world.

The Pope called on Catholics to help families who are going through difficult times. He then improvised a personal message for these families.

POPE FRANCIS
'Let's take a moment to pray in silence for all those families who are going through difficult times, be it because of an illness, unemployment, discrimination, being forced to migrate, relationship problems, or lack of unity.  Let's pray in silence for these families.â?

When it comes to faith, the Pope called on all generations, adults and children, to work together through their faith to overcome life's challenges.
