Meet one of the priests who was ordained by Pope Francis

They are from Italy, Madagascar, India, Peru, Colombia, Chile, South Korea and Croatia. All 19 deacons were ordained priests by Pope Francis. Among them is Michele Ferretti. He says he will forever remember what the Pope told him on that special day.  FR. MICHELE FERRETTI  Priest Ordained by pope (Rome)  "He looked at me straight in the eye and said: 'Go forward, have courage'â?. It took many years for 27 year old Roman to say yes to the priesthood. He felt it was his vocation, but at first the decision wasn't automatic.  FR. MICHELE FERRETTI  Priest Ordained by pope (Rome)  "On the outside it seemed like everything was fine, but inside I felt like something was missing I took fine to reflect I became a seminarianâ?. When he found out that Pope Francis would ordain him a priest, he says, he couldn't believe it nor could his family.  FR. MICHELE FERRETTI  Priest Ordained by pope (Rome)  "We are not used to these big and elegant ceremonies. My family was very excited throughout everything. I was very focused on the moment itself. It could have lasted five hours and I wouldn't have noticed. My concept of time was off that day.â? From now on Michele will serve in Rome's St. Pius V parish.
