Andrés Beltramo: Pope Francis reforms are a cultural revolution

Andrés Beltramo is one of the leading Vatican reporters. He has had an up-close view of two papacies while reporting from Rome. Now Beltramo has just published a book that offers an insider's view of Pope Francis' pontificate so far. ANDRÉS BELTRAMO Author, "La Reforma en Marchaâ? "It's a first-person chronicle that helps with understanding the surprising phenomenon. The mainstream media, which comes and goes,  fails to fully explain it.â? The book is entitled "La Reforma en Marcha,â? which translates to "Reform in Motion.â? In it, he shows how the most important reform Pope Francis is enacting isn't taking place in the Vatican or Roman Curia.  ANDRÉS BELTRAMO Author, "La Reforma en Marchaâ? "It is a reform of the soul: a renewal of the Church, almost a cultural revolution, which goes to the fundamental origin, the roots of the most pure and simple Gospel. I think that it is also generating a great movement within the Church.â? Through little known stories and the testimony of people close to the Pope, Beltramo shows how and where Pope Francis' reforms are occurring. He also explains why not everyone agrees with the changes. ANDRÉS BELTRAMO Author, "La Reforma en Marchaâ? "If we think about the revolution that Jesus caused when He preached at the time, we cannot be surprised that His message continues to create stupor, confusion, and conflict. But at the same time, it stirs passion on a global scale.â? The key to this reform is mercy. According to Beltramo, this embrace is the most powerful symbol of Pope Francis' papacy. Over time, the gesture has become an icon of the pontificate. The book is currently only available in Spanish. JMB/ATO AA JM - PR Up:GRT
