How to follow the next papal trip in Latin America
Ecuador, Bolivia, and Paraguay are preparing for Pope Francis' upcoming trip, which will take place between July 6th and 12th.
To help those who can't make it to South America for the visit, the three countries are utilizing technology to help people follow the trip.
The Twitter account @FranciscoenEcuador will include updates about the Pope's trip to the country. The hashtag #YoEsperoAlPapa has welcoming messages for the Pope. (English users can take advantage of Twitter's built-in translation tools to help navigate these messages.)
The Bolivian Episcopal Conference recently launched this app. It will provide up-to-date information about the Pope's trip as it progresses. It also has content about Pope Francis himself and videos that show his path.
In Paraguay, people can sign up to receive text messages with information about what the Pope is doing throughout the day. Users can, among other things, see the Pope's agenda.
There's also a website called "Pray for Me,â? a phrase that Pope Francis is known to use.
