Charity Miles: an app that donates to charity by the mile

It may seem like exercising only helps you, but now there's a way to help others while burning calories. Charity Miles is an app that allows people to donate money while they walk, run, or ride a bicycle. It was designed three years ago and has already raised more than one million dollars. ; It's very simple. After downloading the app, just choose whichever charity you want to receive the money. After that, all you need to do is start burning calories. Ten cents are donated for every mile traveled on bicycle, and 25 cents for every mile done by running or walking. ; Charity Miles has as many stories behind it as it does people who use it. One of these stories is Denise Claycomb's. She has two children with autism and she runs thirteen miles a day to help fight against the disorder. She has already surpassed the 2,000 mile mark. The app is free and available for iPhone and Android. Charity Miles also has an account on Twitter where people can share their stories. They want to show that individual users can donate as a team. ; LOA/JPB Charity Miles -SV -PR Up:LOA
