The Pope has had some down time this summer. After his trip to Latin America, he limited his public appearances and meetings. Some of his closest collaborators say that the Pope actually relaxes when he simply changes his routine. ; Even though he hasn't had public events, he has been working. At the top of the list is getting ready for his visit to Cuba and the U.S in late September. ; This week, the Pope's public appearances will start off again. On Tuesday, he plans on praying the Vespers with roughly 9,000 altar servers from all over Europe. It's a gathering that takes place every five years. ; On Wednesday, the Pope will lead his weekly general audience in the Vatican. It will be held indoors in the Paul VI Hall and not in St. Peter's Square. This to escape Rome's intense summer heat. ; On Friday, Pope Francis plans to meet with members of the Eucharistic Youth Movement, which has a presence in 37 countries. ; As usual, on Sunday Pope Francis will lead the Angelus prayer from his studio window, overlooking St. Peter's Square. ; AC/KLH ; RR -JM -PR Up:LOA
