Hollywood is releasing a new film about an adolescent Jesus

"The Young Messiahâ? is an upcoming American biblical film directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh, based on the novel by Anne Rice named "Christ the Lord: Out of Egyptâ?.  CYRUS NOWRASTEH Director "The Young Messiahâ? â?I actually felt a tremendous responsibility to portray Jesus as biblically consistent in a way that's possibleâ?. The film revolves around a fictional interpretation of a seven-year-old Jesus, who tries to discover the truth about his life when he returns to Nazareth from Egypt. CHRIS COLUMBUS Producer "The Young Messiahâ? "I read the script and I realized...this is an unbelievable weight for these parents, Mary and Joseph, to carry on their shoulders without telling their sonâ?. Using historical backdrops, this biblical drama was predominately shot in Matera and Rome, Italy.  BETSY GIFFEN NOWRASTEH Co-Screenwriter "The Young Messiahâ? "It's a full meal of faith and good story and excitement and drama. The whole packageâ?. "The Young Messiahâ? is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on March 11, 2016 and it will be shown internationally on May of 2016. YA VM PR UP: FV
