Pope and Roman curia begin spiritual retreat

The Pope and his top aides will be taking a bus on Sunday afternoon towards the "Casa del Divin Maestro,� a center of spirituality almost 25 miles from the Vatican. Once they arrive, the traditional Lenten spiritual retreat will commence. According to the published schedule, it will begin each day at 7:30 am and end at 7:30 pm with dinner. Throughout the day, there will be interspersed moments of meditation, prayer and Eucharistic adoration. 7:30 am Lauds Morning Prayer 8:00 am Breakfast 9:30 am Meditation 11:30 am Mass 12:30 pm Lunch 4:00 pm Meditation 6:00 pm Eucharistic Adoration 6:45 pm Vespers 7:30 pm Dinner The spiritual exercises on the retreat will be led by Italian priest Ermes Ronchi, author of books on spirituality.
