Pope promulgates new decrees for the causes of beatification

The Pope has recognized the martyrdom of Jose Alvarez-Benavides y de la Torre and 114 religious companions killed by "hatred of the faithâ? between 1936 and 1938 in Spain.

He also approved the heroic virtues of: Vicente Garrido Pastor, diocesan priest, founder of the Secular Institute of the Workers of the Cross (1896-1975. Spain).

Elisea Mary Oliver Molina, founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mary of Mount Carmel (1869-1931 Spain).

Pablo Marí­a Guzmán Figueroa (1897-1967. Mexico). He founded the Congregation of Missionaries of the Holy Trinity Eucharistic.

Maria de Jesus Guí­zar Barragan (1899-1973 Mexico). Founder of Instituto de "Siervas Guadalupanas de Cristo Sacerdote.â?

Bernardo de Vasconcelos, Benedictine monk (1902-1932. Portugal).
