On Monday, Pope Francis will preside over the recitation of the Angelus from the Apostolic Palace on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The pope will not have any official meetings scheduled on Monday or Tuesday. ;

On Wednesday, he will meet with thousands of pilgrims in the Paul VI Audience Hall to celebrate the traditional General Audience. The General Audience will take place indoors in order to circumvent the intense summer heat in Rome.

Pope Francis does not have any scheduled events for Thursday or Friday.

On Sunday, he will preside over the Angelus prayer in the company of thousands of pilgrims from around the world.

Although he does not have much going on this week, the pope is taking advantage of the month of August to prepare for the major events in the coming months. Who knows whether this week, as he did last, he will make a one-day getaway near Rome to visit members of a religious order or receive guests at his home in Santa Marta.
