Pope Francis listed among Forbes most powerful people

Forbes Magazine has published its annual list of the world's most powerful people. Among the top 5 is Pope Francis. ;

In fact, the Pope is the only non political figure in the top ranking. He came in at number 4, just ahead of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. As the spiritual leader of one sixth of the world's population, Pope Francis leads a Church with approximately 1 billion people. ;

Russian President Vladimir Putin came in at number one, followed by U.S president Barack Obama. China's president Xi Jinping, came in at number three. ;

Decisions are made based on money, influence and the impact their decisions have. ;

Interestingly, the list also includes the founder of the Islamic State, Abu Baker al-Baghdadi, who was ranked at number 54. ;

The eldest person on the list is the king of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. At 90 years old, he came in at ;number 11. The youngest, is 30 year old Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook. ;

The list of 72 people include nine women. ;In addition to Angela Merkel, there's Janet Yellen, president of the US Federal Reserve. ;
