The Pope will have a relatively slow this week, as he looks ahead to a busy month and year. ;

In mid January, the Pope is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka and the Philippines. ;

On the morning of Tuesday January 6th, the Pope will celebrate a Mass to mark the Epiphany in St. Peter's Basilica. He will then pray the Angelus from his studio window in the Apostolic Palace. ;

On Wednesday, as usual, the Pope will lead the general audience in St. Peter's Square, where thousands of pilgrims flock to hear the Pope's catechesis. ;

Then on Thursday the 8th, he will celebrate his early morning Mass in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta. ;

On Sunday the 11th, the Pope will follow a tradition by Baptizing a group of newborns in the Sistine Chapel, to celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. ;

Afterwards, he will pray the Sunday Angelus, as he usually does overlooking St. Peter's Square. ;
