COLLAGE STUDENT
'I'm pretty concerned because I am studying abroad in Seville, Spain. So, a lot of my friends are going to Brussels, I'm going to Brussels, myself. So, it just makes me really scared that it could have been me. I'm on a metro everyday. So, I think it's scary for Europe in general, not just Brussels.â?

Many tourists were shocked and surprised, in light of the recent attacks.

COUPLE ON THEIR HONEYMOON
'It really shows us how much of life is just a mist...So, when I saw what had happened it made me pull my wife even closer.â?

Some shared their empathy for the victims, while others maintained a stoic stance on how to move forward.

FAMILY FROM BRUSSELS LIVING IN ROME
'Yeah, everyone is scared, but we need to move on and get on with our lives. We can't change anything, otherwise they win and we don't.

In the midst of the aftermath of the attack, Rome stands in solidarity with Brussels. The city has projected the Belgium flag in several other places, with the Trevi Fountain being one of the most iconic sights.
