Bob Rice does it all. He is a teacher at Franciscan University of Steubenville, a youth minister, a father of seven, and also a musician.

His high tenor voice reminds that of Bono, who is one of his earliest influences. In fact, he learned to play guitar in the 80's covering U2, one of 'the first to have Christian themes in what was otherwise secular music.

In the 90s, with the explosion of Christian music, he began playing music that was not only Christan-themed, but one that directly 'proclaims and worships Christ.

And that was he has been doing for twenty years. His biggest influence in Christian music was Rich Mullins, who played an unusual instrument, the dulcimer. That inspired him to start playing his own unusual instrument, the accordion, which is now one of his trademarks.  In fact, one of his most popular CDs is titled 'The Gospel Accordion to Bob Rice.â?

He has recorded ten albums, and he plays every year in front of tens of thousands of people at the Franciscan University of Steubenville Summer Conferences.

Bob Rice's music reflects his own personality: it is joyful, rhythmic, and upbeat. That is why it appeals to people of all ages, and is 'a great way to both celebrate and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.
