53 000 acolytes will meet in San Pedro for an international congress

YoutubeAugust 3, 2010. More than 53,000 young people will gather in Rome from August 3rd to 4th for the International Jubilee Meeting of Altar Servers.


The occasion marks the tenth pilgrimage organized by CIM, Coetus Internationalis Ministrantium, an organization which for over 50 years has worked with dioceses in assisting the needs of altar servers worldwide.

With the slogan "Drink from the true source", the young participants will reflect on the importance of their role within the Church. There will also be a meeting with testimonies, live music and an evening prayer vigil.

The Pope will mark the conclusion of the meeting during his general audience on Wednesday.
