September 3, 2010. The Archbishop of Santiago, Cardinal Francisco Javier Errazuriz, brought 33 rosaries blessed by Pope Benedict XVI to the miners trapped 700 metres underground in San Jose, Chile.
It's not the first gesture of the Pope with the miners. Benedict XVI sent them a message of support during a recent speech at Castel Gandolfo. He encouraged them to remain calm until it's possible rescue them.
