April 14, 2011. (Romereports.com) On April 16, Benedict XVI turns 84 years old. In celebration of the pope's birthday, the Episcopal Conference of England and Wales have asked faithful to post their birthday greetings on their facebook page called 'The Papal Visit'. It was originally created for the pope's visit to the UK last September.


For those who don't use facebook, the bishops have also advised people to send their messages directly through email to the pope at benedict.xvi@vatican.va.

The bishops from England and Wales will send their own best wishes as well as giving thanks to Benedict XVI for his four day visit to England and Scotland.
