Image NewsSeptember 22, 2010. This is the theme song for World Youth Day to be held Madrid 2011.

After months of anticipation, the organization involved in its preparation – called Christian Youth in Action - made the song public by publishing it on its website along with the musical score.

Artist Enrique Vazquez Castro composed this soft melody and Auxiliary Bishop of Madrid, Cesar Franco, wrote the lyrics, approved in May by the Vatican.

There will be two versions to the song. One is the official version which will be this music. The other version is of a pop genre to be sung by the Choir of Getafe.

To hear the song performed live, you’ll have to wait until November 9th, when the city of Madrid celebrates Our Lady of Almudena  - its feast day. The song will be performed live for the first time by the Edith Stein Choir.
