The Vatican has earmarked more than 1.2 million euros in the fight against HIV/AIDS

August 25, 2010. The Vatican has allocated more than 1.2 million euro in the the fight against AIDS. The funds will be provided through the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.



The money will be used to improve services at 131 prevention centers, mostly in Africa, the continent most affected by HIV/AIDS. Other centers receiving assistance include 14 in America, 11 in Asia and 3 in Oceania.
