300,000 people from all over the world are expected to take part in this year's
World Meeting of Families in Milan. Now its organizers are sharing what the Pope's schedule will look like.

June 1st,
Benedict XVI will arrive to Milan in the afternoon. There he'll meet with a group of locals at the
Piazza del Duomo. Afterward, he'll attend a
concert at the
Teatro alla Scala.
On
Saturday morning, he'll start the day by praying and meditating with religious and priests at the Duomo. Then, he'll head out
Milan's stadium where he'll
meet with teenagers who are preparing for their Confirmation. In the afternoon, the Pope will meet with families to celebrate the so called
“Feast of Testimonies” at the
Bresso Airport.
Sunday morning the Pope will
celebrate Mass at that same airport, with thousands of families. Then later that afternoon, he'll return to Rome.
This meeting in Milan marks the seventh “World Meeting of Families.” It started Rome back in
1994, under the direction of
John Paul II, who said it was key to highlight the vital role families have in society.
