October 4, 2011. (Romereports.com) Padre Pio of Pietrelcina and Pope John Paul II return to their
childhoods to become the protagonists for this comic. It's called
“Piucci and Lolek” and meant to send ideas with positive values to
children.
It's a comic book that mixes the real world with some fiction.
The publishing house is Aeduca, formed by the Archdiocese of Krakow, Poland, and the monastery where Padre Pio lived.
The first copies were given to sick children in a hospital founded by Padre Pio in Italy's San Giovanni Rotondo.
Piucci and Lolek will soon jump to the small screen in a cartoon series for television and DVD.
For now, books and stuffed animals can only be found in bookstores and shops in the convent of Sant'Angelo. But they will soon be sold all over Italy.
