YoutubeOctober 24, 2011. (-Romereports.com-) Sunday's Angelus was marked by the 85th anniversary of World Mission Sunday. It was also a day when Benedict XVI declared three new saints.  Among them are two Italians, Guido Maria Conforti and Luigi Guanella. Also included is Spanish nun Boniface Rodríguez.

While remembering the role these new saints played in the Church, the pope spoke about brotherly love.

Benedict XVI
“Jesus suggests that the love of neighbor is as important as the love of God. In fact the visible sign that the Christian can show the world to witness God's love is the love of their brethren.”

Benedict XVI remembered how each one of these new saints lived the Gospel in their daily lives.

Benedict XVI
“How providential is it then the fact that today the Church shows all Catholics, three new saints who allowed themselves to be transformed by divine love, on which they based their entire existence.”

At the end of the Angelus, the pope asked for everyone's prayers for the inter-religious meeting taking place this week in the town of Assisi.
