BENEDICT XVI
General Audience
“Dear friends, I welcome you to Rome during Holy Week, so that you may live an experience of faith, friendship and spiritual enrichment. I invite you to devote these days to deepen your knowledge of Jesus, responding to the call of love He sends to each one of you.”

During that time, Benedict XVI received one of the most peculiar gifts of his pontificate, a chocolate Easter egg measuring 6.5 feet high and weighed more than 550 pounds. The Pope donated it to an Italian juvenile detention center.

April is full of anniversaries for Benedict XVI. On the 16 of the month, he turned 85. Three days later, on the 19, was his seventh anniversary as Pope.

BENEDICT XVI
"I would like to express my gratitude for the good wishes you have been sending me for the seventh anniversary of my election. I ask you to support me always with your prayers so that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I may continue my service to Christ and the Church."

In the last week, the Pope named a commission made up of three cardinals, to look how several documents were stolen from his apartment and leaked to the press. Their work did not end until August.

The month concluded with the ordination of new priests inside St. Peter's Basilica. The Pope asked for prayers to get more people interested in devoting themselves to God.

BENEDICT XVI
“Let us pray that every young person is attentive to the voice of God, which internally speaks to the heart, to give up everything and serve Him.”

Precisely, several young people from www.argument.es, which offers answers on their faith over the Internet, unveiled new videos and catechisms to use on mobile devices.
