November 18, 2009. The Vatican has condemned the U.S. imposed embargo on Cuba. According to Archbishop Claudia Maria Celli, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, the embargo mainly affects people.
During his visit to Cuba, Archbishop Celli has asked that the Church be allowed to have normal access to the country’s means of communication and said that government restrictions are the biggest obstacle to the Church’s communicative efforts.
