BENEDICT XVI
“This evening we have gathered at the Tomb of the Apostle Peter to ask him for his intercession for the path of the Church in this particular moment, renewing our faith in our Supreme Shepherd, Our Lord Jesus Christ. For me it is a proper moment to thank everyone, especially the faithful from the Diocese of Rome, while I prepare to conclude Petrine ministry, and to ask to remember me in prayer.”
