September 13, 2010. The Catholic Church in Belgium has admitted errors in its past handling of sex abuse cases. In order to resolve this question Archbishop Andre Leonard of Brussels has announced the creation of a help centre for the victims.
The new centre, which it is hoped will be running by the beginning of 2011, will have a group of experts on hand to help people who suffered abuse and members of their families. The aim of the project is the cure, rehabilitation and reconciliation of abuse victims.
