April 1, 2010. Benedict XVI has presided over Chrism Mass at the Vatican. During the ceremony he blessed the oils that will be used to anoint the sick and used at confirmation ceremonies for the rest of the year. He also talked about priestly vocation.
In his homily, Benedict XVI said Christians should be people of peace who fight and stand up against injustices.

“Today it is important for Christians not to accept a wrong that is enshrined in law - for example the killing of innocent unborn children.”
On the evening of Holy Thursday, the pope celebrates the institution of the Eucharist an the priesthood at the Basilica of St. John Lateran. As in years past, the pope also performs the rite of the washing of the feet.
