June 13, 2011. (Romereports.com)  For the first time after the attack on Benedict XVI during Christmas of 2009, the Vatican security reduced the scope of protection in the Basilica. During the procession, people were allowed to be closer to the pope for a better view. But there was still plenty of police and security spread throughout the corridor.

Benedict XVI celebrated the Mass of Pentecost in St. Peter's Basilica, one of the most important celebrations in the Catholic Church.

The pope said that by reciting the Apostle's Creed of today was also to enter into the mystery of the first Pentecost.
